Privacy

I use analytics to see which pages people open, where they came from, and whether they keep reading. The data includes the page, referring website, campaign labels, active reading time, and scroll depth. It does not include what you type into forms.

A temporary identifier groups activity in the same browser tab. Visitor estimates use a hash of your IP address and browser information that changes each day. The analytics database does not store the raw IP address or track you across other websites. These estimates are not a count of identifiable people.

CoDuck hosts the analytics database. Reader and crawler records are kept for 90 days. Server request records help distinguish automated requests from browser activity; hosting providers also maintain their own operational logs. Reader tracking respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can turn it off here too.

Newsletter

If you sign up, your email is saved in a private database and sent to my Discord channel so I can keep track of signups. It is kept separately from the general analytics data. Signing up does not verify ownership of the address, and no newsletter emails are being sent automatically yet.
